What is Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) causes pain, stiffness, and restricted movement in your shoulder joint. It typically develops in three stages:

  • Freezing Stage: Pain increases and movement becomes limited.
  • Frozen Stage: Pain may reduce, but stiffness remains.
  • Thawing Stage: Movement slowly returns as the joint heals.

Frozen shoulder often affects people over 40, diabetics, or those with previous shoulder injuries.

5 Ways To Speeds Up Frozen Shoulder Recovery

At Surya Physiocare Center, our approach focuses on:

  • Pain Control: Using ice packs, ultrasound, and gentle heat to reduce inflammation.
  • Joint Mobilization: Carefully stretching and loosening tight shoulder tissues.
  • Stretching Exercises: Improving flexibility with guided movements.
  • Strength Training: Gradually building muscle strength to support the joint.
  • Home Exercise Plans: Providing routines you can safely follow at home.

Early physiotherapy can help you recover much faster, often avoiding the need for surgery.
